Hi  @SanjaySota

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your concern about scanning a two-sided document and saving it as a PDF , don’t worry let me check and help you with this.

Could you kindly let me know:

  • Are you trying to scan from the printer control panel or from your computer?
  • Are you using the HP App or another scanning application?
  • When you scan, does it save only one side, or are the pages scanned separately instead of into a single PDF?

In the meantime, kindly try the following:

  1. Open the HP App on your computer.
  2. Select Scan and then choose Scanner.
  3. Place the document in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) if your printer supports automatic duplex scanning.
  4. In the scan settings, look for options such as:
    • Two-sided / Duplex Scan
    • Scan both sides
    • Combine pages into one PDF
  5. Start the scan and save the file as PDF.

You can also refer to HP's guide for scanning documents using HP App : HP Smart - Scan documents and photos: Click here

In most cases, this depends on whether the printer and scanning software are configured for duplex (two-sided) scanning. If the duplex option is not enabled, the scanner may capture only one side at a time or save pages separately. Verifying the scan settings and the scanning method being used will help determine the correct solution.

I hope this helps.
