Laser jet pro m148fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

How do I factory reset laser jet pro m148fdw? The printer keeps asking for password to get to setting for reset. I don’t remember setting up password to the printer.

Welcome to HP support community.

Restore the printer settings to factory-set defaults

  1. On the printer control panel, press the button.
  2. Open the following menus: ● Service ● Restore Defaults
  3. Touch or press the OK button. The printer automatically restarts.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

Sorry, this does not work. When I choose maintenance the printer asks for the password.
