I want my default printer settings to be Black/Fast Draft but every time I try to change them they revert to Normal quality.  How do I change my print quality settings and then keep them as a default.

Always should be done in the Devices and Printers menus.

Totally remove and delete the printer.  Now go back and install the Full Featured Software and Drivers from the HP web site and try this.

Please explain where on your computer you are changing these setting at.

In the Preferences Menu.

Which preferences menu?  When you print and the pop up comes up?  Or from the default printers menu under Devices and Printers??

I have tried both ways.  I tried in the Devices and Printers menu and I also tried in the Printer Pop Up Preferences Menu.  Each time I change to Black and Draft it changes back to Normal with Grayscale Off and I am unable to set my Draft settings as a default.

After a few attempts at removing and reinstalling the printer, this seems to work.  Thanks
