Is there a way to stop the printer from printing garbage? Unfortunately when setting up a new system, the printer was sent garbage, it would print 1 line of gibberish on each page for what seemed like 100's of pages. I tried cancelling documents in win7, restarting computer, turning printer off, and pressing the cancel. Nothing seemed to work except pressing the cancel button lot'sssssssssssssssssss of times. I am still setting up new system, and afraid this may happen again. Thanks in advance for the help.

When you turn off the printer all and any document that are in the printer memory go away, however, if the printer has not sent a message back to the computer that a document has finished printing it remains in the printers printq and tries to print each time the printer communicates with the computer. On the computer you need to go to the printer and double click on the icon and then click on what is printing which will bring up the printq of all items waiting to be printed. Just right click on each item and cancel the print job until the q is empty.

You probably have a printq or server that has a printer with the same ip address and lots of documents still to print with the wrong driver. Suggest you retire the ip address of the printer and use a new ip address and reload on any and all computers like a brand new printer.
