Hey,

My Printer keeps saying: "Depleted Cartridges must be replaced to resume printing." but I did replace it with a brand new blank ink. (950 XL)

My color carteridges are empty, but I don't think that should be a problem. I understand that not all HP printers will work unless ALL of them are full, but I don't know if mine is one of them; I'm pretty sure I was able to print without color in the past.

Hi,

Your printer is designed to print only when all ink cartridges have ink. Some ink from all the ink cartridges is used in periodic servicing tasks. This helps to prevent issues such as printhead clogs and poor print quality. There is no way to bypass this feature.

 

As a reference see below document, it clearly refers to your printer model, you must replace any empty ink cartridge to resume printing:
