Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M176n printer. I read that the printer is displaying a 10.1000 supply memory error. This started after you found out that despatchable motor that drives the cartridge was lose and saw that one of the turn is broken. I further read that you have got that fixed. But now the printer reports a 10.1000 supply memory error. You've done a remarkable job performing the steps. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I did some research on this case to find what the 10.1000 supply memory error means. I found that this indicates there's a communication failure with one of the cartridges.

The "X" indicates which cartridge: 0=black, 1=cyan, 2=magenta, 3=yellow.

I suggest you to turn the printer off and then on. Remove and reinstall the toners. I the printer continues to have the supply memory error then you may continue with the following steps:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
  • Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Please perform the steps as described in detail from this HP article. Though the steps mentioned are for other laserjet printers but these steps will help to fix such errors.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted. Cheers! 🙂

TOday I turned on my printer HP Color Laserjet PRO MFP M176n and I got the message 10.0001 supply memory error.

I followed all steps as you mentioned. So I took out each cartridge. That didn't help. Afterwards I removed power cable and followed your detailed description. But I still got the same message. Can you please help me.
