Hi @Jahzari,

If your HP E57540 printer is printing red all over the page and appears to be wasting toner, follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check Toner Cartridges:

    • Remove and reseat the toner cartridges to ensure they are installed correctly.
    • Inspect the toner cartridges for any damage or leaks. Replace if necessary.
  2. Clean the Printer:

    • Open the printer and gently clean any visible toner spills using a lint-free cloth.
    • Check for any debris or obstructions in the toner cartridge area.
  3. Adjust Print Settings:

    • Access the printer properties through your computer’s control panel or print dialogue.
    • Adjust color settings and ensure the printer is set to the correct colorspace (CMYK).
  4. Perform a Printer Calibration:

    • Use the printer's control panel to run a calibration routine. This can align the colors and improve print quality.
    • Refer to your printer's user manual for specific instructions on performing calibration.
  5. Update Printer Firmware:

  6. Inspect Imaging Drum:

    • If your printer uses a separate imaging drum, inspect and clean it. Replace it if it shows signs of wear or damage.
  7. Run Diagnostic Tests:

    • Use any built-in diagnostic tools in your printer settings to identify and resolve issues.
  8. Check for Electrical Connection Issues:

    • Ensure all cables are securely connected and not damaged.
    • Try connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet.
  9. Reset the Printer:

    • Turn off the printer, disconnect it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then reconnect and turn it on.
