Hp m477

We have an HP m477 that we use JUST for scanning to email. IT is not spooled or anything like that.

Recently, when using the ADF, the scan to email feature only works when 1 page is loaded into the ADF. If you put 2 more more pages into the ADF, it goes through the process of scanning them, but you never receive the Email Sent prompt. 

I tried scanning to USB. The same thing occurs. If I scan 1 page to USB, it works fine. If I scan 2 or more pages, the USB drive will have a HPSCANS folder, but with nothing in it.

This unit also has the most recent firmware loaded.

Did you try to restore the printer to factory settings and then scan to USB?

Well, that worked for a day. Now it's back to how it was. It will scan to email from the AFD if you load 1 page. If you have 2 or more pages, it goes through the process, but never sends the email. 

I'm starting to wonder if it's time to replace the printer.
