Hi @Bowks1

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for explaining what you’ve already tried. A solid vertical line that repeats in the same position can have different causes depending on the printer model, the type of media, and whether it happens on all functions or only certain ones. To narrow this down, I’d like to gather a bit more detail before suggesting any steps:

  • Which HP printer model are you using?
  • Does the line appear only when printing documents, or also when copying and scanning?
  • Is the line visible in both black‑and‑white and color prints?
  • What type of paper are you using (plain, photo, specialty)?
  • Have you recently replaced any cartridges or performed any maintenance other than cleaning the printhead?
  • Does the line appear faint or sharp, and is it always in the exact same position on the page?

With these details, we can better isolate whether the issue is related to the printhead, cartridges, paper feed, or even the scanner glass. Could you share this information so we can pinpoint the cause more accurately?

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
