Product: HP Color LaserJet3600
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Each time I connect my printer to the laptop it does not recognise the device and reports it unknown.

 

The device has never previously been connected to this laptop.

 

I can't even find the driver for it.

 

I am fairly tech savvy but this has completed baffled me.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HP Recommended

You will probably need to install the HP USB communication package first and then the computer should auto-detect and download a Microsoft driver.
