I'm setting up my printer and almost done, but keep getting an E3 message. All the printed suggestions are not working.

Hi @ceroboss

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the details. I understand you’re seeing the E3 error and have already tried the printed suggestions without success. It’s good to know you’ve taken those steps, as that helps narrow down what might still be causing the issue.

To guide you further, could you let me know:

  • The exact HP printer model you’re setting up
  • Whether the error appears during setup, printing, or scanning
  • If you notice any unusual sounds or paper movement when the error shows

This information will help in identifying the right direction to resolve the E3 message effectively.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
