Hi,
The M177fw does NOT support borderless printing. Please check Print margins section:
You may be able to print borderless photos using HP Photo Creations software.

Few (if any) laser printers support true borderless printing.
Most (all?) Laserjet printers have an unprintable margin of about 4.2 mm (0.167") on all edges.
I think that this is to minimise the chance of stray toner contaminating (and possibly causing damage to) the internal mechanisms within the printer.
InkJet printers use ink (rather than toner); excess ink does not cause the same potential problems as stray toner.
