HP Recommended

My HP pagewide pro 477dw is saying I need to replace the ink cartridge when I have installed new ink. No plastic is on the contacts. I have turned the machine on and off multiple times. It is only saying the black ink needs to be changed, not the other colors. I am inserting a new cartridge.

Please confirm whether the replacement ink cartridge is of the same model.
Can the printer normally detect the ink cartridge information when the previous ink cartridge is replaced?
Based on the description of the problem, it is recommended to focus on checking the new ink cartridge.
