P1006
Unknown

Hi there!

I must replace my 11 years old printer wich is ho laserjet p1006 by a new one. My issue is it the cartridge must content the same (or more) amount of iron oxyde in it because I use it to print my own ceramic decals and the print must melt at  1060 celcius degrees. As you see it is a bit specific and also an urgent asking (deadlines, mehh...) .

Does anybody know the amount of iron oxyde in cartridge and affordable laserjet printers? Max 200$?

Thank you very much!

I would recommend you to stick with the old model of printers, find somewhere used P1006.

New printers use polymer in toner to save energy by lowering fuser temperature and to increase print speed.

Valsimot is correct, any newer generation HP laserjet will be using low temperature toner. You will also likely not find out the % of Iron oxide as toner formulation is a closely guarded secret. You can check the MSDS sheets at this link, it will give you the closest value.

Thank’s a lot for your answers. It is helpfull!  Now a friend tell me she uses a hp 1102w to do the same work but maybe the color is less intense. I will compare this printer because the hp 1006 seam hard to find. Maybe also I should find the original hp cartridge and not an compatible cartridge tough!
