Is 502A compatible with 503A toner Problem

We have stocks of Toner 502A series we want to known the compatible printer will it replace the 503A series of toner

502A toner was designed for the HPCLJ3600 and 503A toner was designed for the HPCLJ3800. Physically the toners are the same but the memory chips on them are different and the machines will know when the wrong toner is installed. That said from what I remember they still should work in either models. If for some reason they do not, both machines have an item in the diagnostics menu which allows you to disable cartridge check. When you select that mode and the printer says ready, diaghostcs mode it does not read the chips on the cartidges and they will work. You can also purchase on ebay chips for either of these toners and replace the current chips with ones for the other toner which will fool the printer into thinking the correct toner is installed.
