This printer won't connect to my network, the link light comes on up it doesn't complete DHCP. I uplugged the ethernet and tried to configure the wireless but the printer insists it's still connected to the wire.  We had a near miss lightening strike that took out two IP phones so I suspect the printer was tingled as well.  I did try a different port in the switch to no avail.  So what I want to know is can I replace the network interface.  I doesn't appear to be a jet direct card so I'm not sure if it's replaceable short of a main board replacement.

Hello Hupset,

Thank you for posting your concern,

Yes, it is possible to replace or upgrade the network interface in an HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color MFP, depending on the model specifics and user requirements. The HP LaserJet Pro series typically allows for certain upgrades or replacements, including the network interface components, to support or improve connectivity.

However, such replacements often require specific parts compatible with the device model. It's recommended to consult the printer's service manual or contact HP for guidance on compatible parts and replacement procedures. If you're unfamiliar with these procedures, consulting a professional technician or HP support is advised to ensure proper installation and avoid voiding any warranties.

For more information, it's useful to refer to the specific printer model's support documentation or visit HP's support page for detailed guidance.
