Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The printer light is green, the status on Windows printer list and in printer properties shows on line and ready.  The print jobs enter and leave the queue as normal, with no error messages.  But nothing prints either from a networked computer or the computer that it is attached to locally.  The drivers being used are the Windows 10 LaserJet 1022 class drivers which have been working fine up to now.

Are you able to print a test page from the computer?

 

Let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

If the issue persists, let's do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

 

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

 

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.)  Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Hi Betty0610, thank you for the response.  When I attempted to print a test page, it cycled through the queue like everything else and vanished into the ether with no output or errors from the printer.  Basically, it is acting like it is dumping everything to an old fashioned print file somewhere instead of the printer.  I also ran Windows printer troubleshooter with no result.  Unfortunately, I am currently unable to run the hp scan doctor at the moment as we had to swap in a different printer temporarily, and won't have any time free for the next few days to swap it back and experiment properly.  Hopefully that will change after the beginning of next week, and I will post again with the results.
