Laserjet 700 MFP M775

My printer fuser started failing last week.  I recycled power several times but error persisted. I purhased and installed a new fuser kit. However I'm still getting the same fuser error. My guess is the power supply for the fuser is toast. Anyone know which power supply controls the fuser? This printer has several power supplies. Thanks

You should call HP support because your printer likely has a born on date which they may be a able to use to validate the warranty and you might get free service.

By the way the error code is 50.4F.00

Hello @nwslix

Here it is the information I was able to find

50.4F.00 error refers as  Drive circuit fault

1.Check the power source. Make sure the power source meets product requirements

2.Try a different outlet on a different circuit.

3.If this product has been previously serviced, check the connector (J21) on the DC controller PCA.

4.If the error persists, replace the low-voltage power supply.

Thank you for responding.  Power sounrce is steady 110V and 60HZ and reseated J21 on the PCA.  So it looks like the Low Voltage PS.  I pulled the low voltage PS today and it shows part number RM1-8895. All my searches show RM1-8895-000CN at various vendors. Are these 2 part numbers one in the same?

HP Recommended

Yes they are.  The 000CN is the version of the part numbere.  When they release a later version if they do that number could change to 010CN or 020CN but the first set of numbers will remain the same.

Just curious, have you verified that you really are out of warranty on this machine?

Unfortunately the warranty expired in November 2015. Even worse I had this printer stored away until my former printer bit the dust. I actually just set this printer up for use in May 2016. Bummer!

OK so I contacted HP and they honored the warranty as SHThompson suggested. Even though it was out of warranty I had to supply them with data from the printer. Once they saw that it only printed 175 times they sent out a technician. The part that fixed the problem was indeed the low voltage power supply. So in essence there were two solutions and the forum would only let me accept one solution. Thanks for the assistance. Mike
