LaserJet CP1025 printer stopped working on MacOS Catalina 10.15

Hi HP Support,

Didn't get any answer in another topic, so I have to start a new one.

I've been using my LaserJet CP1025 printer for several years now, it still works perfectly. However since I updated my MacOS to Catalina 10.15, I am not able to print anymore.

I searched for new drivers everywhere, but apparently they don't exist for this operational system.

The printer still works perfectly with any other Mac (I checked), but not with mine.

What is the solution here please?

HP LaserJet Pro CP1025 Color Printer driver for macOS 10.15 Catalina are not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.

NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.

Thank you for your answer.

However I have already checked on Gutenprint. They don't have drivers for this model. Moreover the program itself cannot be installed on Catalina:

We are aware of installation problems on MacOS 10.15 "Catalina". Unfortunately, we do not have a solution at this time. We will update this as appropriate.

Is there any other solution for me and a lot of other people in this community with the same printer? Or is HP saying we should just throw away a perfectly working product?

Is there a chance that the drivers will come out later?

I understand, there are no compatible drivers available for the printer and it is isn't airprint capable.

I suggest you  Contact HP or store.hp for upgrade options
