LaserJet Pro M452nw Tray 1 Spring Uncoiled

LaserJet Pro M452nw
macOS 10.14 Mojave

The coiled spring has come unraveled in Tray 1. The black plastic piece to the left of it is sliding back and forth on the axle. Is this fixable by myself or do I need to take it to a repair shop?

Looking at the service manual, that part is not listed as available. About the best you can hope is that you can find someone or yourself that can recoil the spring and seat the flag assembly (the black part you state is sliding). This is what it should look like:
