LaserJet 3330
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am getting error 52 Scanner error on a Laserjet MFP 3330.

I have DL'd the service manual.  It doesn't show an exact step by step on the replacement of the Laser/Scanner.  Is it doable on this printer by someone with some DIY skills?  Is there a guide anywhere?

There is no exact instructions for replacing a laser unit, but when you remove the printers top cover, the laser is only 4 more screws.

20 + years in the business and I have never changed one in this model. You will need to remove the scanner assembly and most top panels to access the scanner. As scanners rarely fail, HP did not document that procedure. YouTube may be the best place to search.

HP confuses things at times with Scanner vs Laser/Scanner.  It's the Laser/Scanner I think that is at issue here.

@RepairaTrooper, if you don't think the Laser is at fault, what else can cause a 52 Scanner error?

You state you have a 3330. I was only pointing out that you will likely have to remove the Scanner/ADF assembly to properly access the laser scanner because the top covers all need to come off.
