Everything that prints now has these horizontal lines in them.... I know the drum has an issue that causes the vertical fading but it is not too bad.....  The lines though are an issue....

Sure looks like bad toner cartridges.  Do the following.  Go to the diagnostics menu and choose the item disable cartridge check.  Now when the printer says ready, diagnostics mode, open the toner door and swap the yellow and the cyan and swap the magenta and the black.  No run the same pq troubleshooting pages as you did before and see if the lines are now is yellow and magenta or still black and cyan.  If still black and cyan you have two bad toner cartridges.  If magenta and yellow then you may have an issue with the transfer belt or the high voltage pca.  My gut tells me bad onter cartridges.

This problem came up when I installed a new OEM Q2670A  black cartridge. I reinstalled the old cartridge and the problem disappeared. So I installed a DIFFERENT new cartridge. Problem came back. I have a very hard time accepting that TWO brand new cartridges have exactly the same problem. Is there some other possibility?
