Laserjet M 452dn goes into "cleaning mode" randomly while printing, then re-prints the pages missed!

This especially messes up Check printing process.

Installed new cartridges both black and color ....recently.

Cleaning mode is usually cleaning the fuser.

Most of the time we either blame the type of media (thicker paper like check stock is prone to need cleaning mode often, so if you've recently switched check stock that could be the issue) or the brand of toner cartridges (toners that leak will often prompt cleaning modes).

If you're looking for parts to replace on the printer itself , the transfer belt or fuser would be the parts to inspect for wear; but much more likely are the paper type and toner type.

 It definetily does this only with Checks ...so that explains it.

I am  trying to print only a few at a time, that seems to work most of the time.
