Hello I have a problem with the scaning future. Printing works. I have Laserjet M1120n MFP, connected throght switch to my desktop via LAN. OS is Win 10 SK x64. I have tried to install "HP LJ M1120-hb-pnp-win64-EN" and after copying the content of English directory to Slovak directory I have been able to install it. When I try to add a scaner and choose the HP LJ M1120n MPP version 5.0.1.62157 from 7. dec. 2012 the scanner is not added. When I look at scanners and cameras there is no scanner). When I look at devices and printers, I can see my printer added as LAN printer. Only the scanning function is not working. Can you provide me a walkthrought so I will be able to use my scanner over LAN? Thank you.

Hi,

Indeed scanning is supported for such HP Laserjet MFPs with a USB connection only, a Plug and Play solution will not allow network scanning as described below:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03501661#AbT1

Connecting the printer with a USB to your PC will add a scanner, a such is not supported through the network.

Check M1120's printer property to see its connected port is what?

I am not sure its port seems to be Dot4-001 if thers's Dot4-001 change anything else to Dot4-001 and see what will happen.

If not, see if it needs to be changed from off line  to on line.

Or change from usb001 to 002,003.......
