Laserjet mfp225dn
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi, my MFP 225 dn printer entered an infinitive loop and the screen always say "initializing" .

I can't tell when exactly it started, but we found it out when the printer didn't print something.

I've tried a Hard reset like it was instructed here,  but nothing.

I've tried NVRAM but it also didn't help.

I can tell that the screen / printer only responds if I press on the wrench  button , that leads to the sub menus (internet  / fax / HP internet services/ reports/ self observation,  and more) but when I'm  to print a report- nothing happens.

before, when the printer was still connected to my home WI-FI network, I thought maybe I need to reinstall the printer in the computer, so I uninstalled it, but when I tried to install it again, I got stuck when the printer could not send "signals" to the WIFI network because it was initializing.... again...

when I'm tring to copy a paper,  the screen shows a message : "the device is not available, try again later"

BTW I have a windows 10, if it matters.

I will appreciate any help.  THANKS !!!

Welcome to the HP support community.

As you have tried all the steps to fix the issue and the issue still persists, this might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
