Can anyone give official documentation from HP, on the use of powerstrips and laserjet printers?  I have found multiple Support community pages suggesting against it. But i cannot find any official user manual etc with the suggestion to avoid using a power strip.

Thank you

Hi @JoeB41 ,

A common requirement for Laserjet printer models is to connect the printer directly to a power outlet, and you can find that information in the Setup Guide, like the next one:

Also in the setup documents for the first time printer setup

Thanks for the suggestions, but those dont specifically say "directly into a wall outlet".  They just say to plug it in to power. Although the image is that of a wall outlet. I'm searching for documentation that specifically states HP suggests against use of a power strip.

Hi @JoeB41

Ok, to find more specific documentation it could be useful to know

what is your Laserjet printer model ?

With a specific printer model I can search for documentation related to power connections.

It's multiple models.  M608, e60155, m506, laserjet 4000, 4250, m605. I figured if I could find anything official,  for any laserjet model, it would be helpful.   I did find a page that says they're designed to work without and any user that puts one on a surge/UPS/power strip,  does so at their own risk.  But it doesn't specially say to avoid it.
