Laserjet 1200 series

My laserjet 1200 prints a dark line on one side or the paper. Is this a cartridge problem or something more serious?

Perform a half test. Place a sheet of paper on top of the feeder in the manual slot and press the button for a self test. When the back edge of the paper enters the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop the printing. Remove the toner and look at the image below. If the defect is present the toner cartridge is the issue and if it is not, then the fuser has an issue.

Looks like a defective cartridge but I won't  be sure until I get a new one. Thanks for your help, I'll be in touch to let you know how I go on.
