Laserjet pro M29w WiFi light continues to blink. A week ago everything was fine. We had connected this printer to a hotspot and printed from an iPad also connected to same hotspot. We took copious notes and everything printed perfect for a number of days. Suddenly one day the WiFi light would not stop blinking & we could not get the printer to connect to the hotspot (although the iPad to hotspot connection is flawless).
Let us stress that no new updates and no new apps have been installed on the iPhone/hotspot or the iPad.
Let us also stress that we have not found any workable solutions online and we have tried various combinations of holding down the WiFi button in combination with other printer buttons with no success.

@1MTM, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
If the WiFi light blinks, it means the printer is not connected to a network. Using Hotspot connection for printing is not recommended. It may not work. You can connect the printer to a wireless router instead. Or you may also use WiFi Direct option to print from the iOS device in the absence of a wireless router.
To know how to connect the printer wirelessly, refer to the steps mentioned in this document
To know how to connect the printer using WiFi Direct, refer to this document.
Let me know how this goes.

Kumar:
Thank you. To say that "Using Hotspot connection for printing is not recommended" is an understatement. I have now learned that "using a hotspot connection for printing is STRONGLY discouraged" - - at least, that is my recommendation based on several days of work on this issue. I have installed a cable modem/router and all of my HP printing problems have gone away.
I will mark your Solution as Accepted. If anyone else asks about this issue in the future, I am suggesting that you sound more forceful in discouraging folks from using hotspot connections while attempting printing.
