Letter as standard paper size instead A4

Reinstalling the printer HP Laserjet 2055dn gave a printer with letter as standard paper size, while A4 is the desired papersize. How do I install that properly? It conflicts for instance with printing Labels on an A4.

Go to control panel.Devices and printers and right click with mouse on the printer.Go to properties and paper setup.Change the default paper size as you would prefer and save changes.Hope this will help.

Thank you for your replay. It did nor work. The problem may be that the system is set in a default language US english and the country to th Netherlands. Default settings for the printer are letter size in the Factory default en Eco Smart Settings. I only can save these under another name but the defaults remain Letter-size. It will take 2 steps to get to the real A4 paper size and it should not work that way. On another PC I have I use as language Dutch and Country The Netherlands an my default is Lettersize A4. Why cannot my wife on her system get the same default because we have to use A4 papersize.
