Hi,

I want to reset the system password (set via web admin)

It was set with a standard password (cut and paste from password manager so I know is 100% correct - I always paste to  txt file as well to ensure they match)

When I now try to log in I get a errorusing and not using an  username

Warranty status says out of warranty, but only delivered today. No reply to tweets.

Hi @McV1,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you want to reset the password for your HP LaserJet Pro M102w Printer.

Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.

And here are a few steps listed below:

1. Print a configuration page to determine the IP address or host name.

a. Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button until the Ready light begins blinking.

b. Release the Resume/Cancel button.

2. Open a web browser, and in the address line, type the IP address or host name exactly as it displays on the printer configuration page. Press the Enter key on the computer keyboard. The EWS opens.

NOTE: If the web browser displays a message indicating that accessing the website might not be safe, select the option to continue to the website. Accessing this website will not harm the computer.

3. On the System tab, click the Administration link in the left navigation pane.

4. In the area labeled Product Security, enter the password in the Password field.

5. Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password field.

6. Click the Apply button.

NOTE: Make note of the password and store it in a safe place.

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
