Hi @cindloug,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

You’ve done a lot already: factory reset, printed the Wireless Network Test Report, and tried HP App, but the printer still shows Wi-Fi blinking and Power blinking, and the report says Network Name: Not Specified. This means the printer is not connected to any network yet. Since your AT&T Internet Air router does not have WPS, you’ll need to use manual Wi-Fi setup via the HP app or the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Here’s the fix:

Steps to Reconnect LaserJet MFP M118dw to Wi-Fi (No WPS)

1. Confirm Requirements

  • Printer supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only (not 5 GHz).
  • Ensure your AT&T router broadcasts 2.4 GHz.
  • Place the printer within 6 ft of the router during setup.

2. Restore Network Defaults

  • On the printer:
    • Press and hold the Wireless + Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
    • Wireless light will blink → Network settings reset.

3. Connect Using HP App

4. Alternative: Use Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • Connect the printer via USB cable to your PC temporarily.
  • Install the HP app or the Full Driver:
    HP LaserJet MFP M118dw Drivers.
  • Open EWS:
    • Find the printer IP from the HP app or configuration page.
    • Enter IP in browser → Go to Network Settings → Enter Wi-Fi SSID and password.

5. Print Wireless Network Test Report Again

  • After setup, print the report:
    • Setup > Reports > Wireless Network Test.
  • Check:
    • Network Name shows your SSID.
    • Status: Connected.

6. Update Firmware

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
