Hi @Tdang,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that a solid amber light on the bar means the printer needs attention. If checking the doors did not fix it, HP guidance says to also check these likely causes:

  • Paper issue: If the Paper light blinks, the printer may be out of paper, the paper may not be loaded properly, or there may be a paper jam. Load paper correctly or clear any jam, then press Resume.

  • Cartridge issue: If the Cartridge light blinks, the toner cartridge may be very low, or there may be a cartridge error, such as an incompatible, unauthorised, or protected cartridge. Reinstall or replace the toner cartridge.

  • General printer problem: If the amber light is flashing fast, HP says to turn the printer off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on

  • You can also print an Information Report by pressing the Information button to check the current printer status and errors.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
