Product: LaserJet M426

I just got off the phone with HP Support (1-(800)-334-5144) for those that can't find the number to call) and they said the CF226X will fit into the M426 Laserjet Printer as the extended toner cartridge.  They have NOT convinced me that this cartridge will work!  I have tried to use 2 different HP cartridges #CF226X in this printer and it is physically wider than the standard CF226A cartridge and WILL NOT FIT:(   If anyone knows of how to make this fit, please let me know.
