We have annoying problem at the office with HP LaserJet Pro MFP M426fdw. It makes grinding noise while initializing and printing.
We have this printer since July this year. Whole HP original toner was used up, without the problem. Then we bought, as we thought, toner replacement of a good quality. It is not HP original. After about a month of using it this noises started. Quality of prints is still very good. Another month have passed and problem is still present and noises are louder.
I don't know is if it is toner cartridge related or the device. Drivers are updated to the latest. I am attaching for you to watch two videos of said printer. One when printer is in silent mode, what makes sounds little quieter, second in a normal mode. See for yourself.
Thank you for help!
edit: I do not have any other cartridge to test

it sounds like it could be your cartridge based on your description. Do you have the original or another to test? If its a remanufactured cartridge, they do tend to have more problems than an HP original. Swap them out and see what happens. if the noise persists, i'd suspect the fuser assembly in the back of the machine. Hope this helps.
