Color Laser Jet Pro M452dn

Hello. I have a Laser Jet Pro M452dn printer. It's a refurbished machine in new condition, but it gives me an error on start up: "Jam in print paper path. Open rear door and clear." There is no paper jammed in the printer and I have no found a way to remove the error message. I did a factory reset, but that didn't help. I've looked on the internet, but didn't find anything. I guess it's possible that a very small jam exists that I cannot see. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Figure out which switch is giving the signal...

Thanks for taking the time to reply, but I was hoping for an easier fix than that, and I don't know how to do it anyway. One would think that HP would have a fix for all possible error messages.

Let me try and help.Normally the printer is very accurate with paper jams.In severe cases it could be the sensor faulty but lets first try what i normally do.

Problem: Paper Feed.

Clean the feed wheels. If this only works once or so the feed wheel might have to be replaced.

If the machine grabs more than 1 sheet of paper then clean or replace the separation pad.

If the paper get stuck feeding look for obstructions in the paper path and clean as needed.

Should you suspect something in the path I normally use a laminated sheet and manually push it through the paper path. This normally will push the obstruction out of the way.

Always try to add a picture related to your problem if possible .This makes it easier to determine the problem .Give as much and clear description to the problem as far as possible.

Try this step where i use a laminated sheet or even just a harder piece of paper or even 2 or 3 sheets of paper.Maybe a small piece of paper is stuck on the sensor.I will look out for your post.

If you can't find it, it's probably on a roller in the fuser...
