Laserjet M608
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

New Printer with the extra tray.  Using 11x14 pressure seal check stock paper in tray3.  We send several hundred pages to the printer at a time and we experience a jam (roughly 3 pages out of a 100).  Page seems to be stopping with just an inc or 2 left in the fuser.  the tray is setup for "Plain" 11x14 paper.  The paper is slightly thicker than plain but changing to Intermediate didn't fix the issue.

Any advice at all is greatly appreciated!

Hi bigmup9,

I must say that this new series (M607-M608-M609) are very picky when dealing with various paper types. The slight diference on the supported paper types per tray can cause jams. I reckon this has to do with their increased speed. I faced this issue few times with these printers, nothing can be done apart from switching to a fully supported paper type.

I hope this helps,

Cheers!

Thanks for the response Alex.  I was afraid that the increased speeds might be a factor.

We're running around 40K pages a month and due to the nature of our business, we primarily are use odd paper types (pressure seal checks & gov forms).  I will continue to tweak our settings and hopefully find that sweet spot.

I will update this post if I ever get there.  Thanks again!

Unsure if this was ever resolved as it has been a year but a firmware update is needed along with rotation of the paper in the tray.
