I have the same issue.  The admin left for guard duty and never recorded the printer admin password with the rest of IT.  Can you help with resetting the password?

Printer SN is MXBCHCK0YG

Thanks,

If you have reset the unit then the default password is blank and you have full access without logging in. If it is requesting a password then the password has not been cleared. On these units you need to perform a partial clean to clear the password. Power off the unit, power on and watch the HP logo that appears in the middle of the screen. When you see a black like appear underneath the logo, touch the logo. This will take you into the preboot menu (blue Dos looking screen). on this menu, go to administration and then find the "partial clean"  option, unit will confirm with you that this will clear data. Once you click ok, click back until you see the continue option, select that and unit will startup and refresh settings. When it comes to ready you will need to reinput any lost settings.
