Color Laserjet Enterprise M680
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
Had a brief power glitch this morning and now it is stuck in initializing. Turned it off and back on and still stuck initializing. Can someone please help or send me the instructions on how to reset? Please!!!

Hi @gingerbaze,

 

I recon that your printer's firmware has been corrupted. You need to do the following:

 

1) Download the latest firmware version for your printer in a FAT32 formatted USB flash disk

2) Enter the pre-boot menu of your printer by touching the screen when the 1/8 appears

3) Go to Administrator -> Format Disk and click ok to format the disk

4) Go to Administrator -> Download -> USB Thumbdrive and click ok to the firmware file 

5) Return back to Continue and click ok, so that your printer can boot again with a new firmware installed
