I have a brand new (bought June 2017) LaserJet Pro M252dw, and ever since I bought my new Lenovo laptop (running Windows 10), I cannot get the printer to automatically print duplex either. All the correct settings are enabled; the printer IS listed as compatible to Windows 10 on this same HP site; and I have followed all suggestions from other replies to other users with this same issue. Nothing is working. I can only print duplex if I select the manual option (which is absurd considering how much money the printer cost).
Clearly there's an issue here with Windows 10 and the printer. Please help?
I have also tried to follow the proper procedures for downloading a printer driver, but despite the site listing my printer as compatible the site also says it cannot find a driver to match my printer. I managed to get the printer 'added' via "add a device" and did get a driver (obviously, since otherwise I couldn't be printing at all, let alone duplex), but I find myself wondering if there's some kind of patch that the site isn't telling me exists. When I look on the full "find out if your printer is compatible" list, it lists a couple of add-on programs; are any of these patches that would resolve the lack of auto-duplex printing?
A chunk of the reason I spent $300 on this laserjet printer was for the auto-duplex function (another chunk was the wifi printing, with which I am also having problems, but we can tackle that in another thread). I'd REALLY like to find a resolution for this.
Thanks!

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting issues in doing automatic duplexing. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,
- When did this issue start?
- Did you do any hardware or software changes?
Meanwhile
- From the software program, select the Print option.
- Select Devices, select Print, and then select the printer.
- Click or tap the Finishing tab.
- Select the Print on both sides check box.
- Click the OK button to close the Document Properties dialog box.
- In the Print dialog box, click the OK button to print the job.
Click here and refer page number 39 in the user guide.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers.

I actually figured out that I had mistaken where to go turn on the duplex option...and it works now.
I have a totally different question about duplex printing now.
I have difficulty getting my Lenovo laptop (Windows 10) to print using the wifi-direct option. I have managed to get it to do so occasionally, but a chunk of the time the laptop will say it's connected, the printer will say it's connected, but documents that are sent do not print. When they do, they do not always print duplex.
I HAVE succeeded in using the e-print option by sending a document to the printer's email address...but this also does not print duplex. Ever.
Is there a way to set things up so that e-printing is duplex? Additionally, can you walk me through getting the wifi-direct printing to work (especially to do so in duplex)?
Thank you!!
