Yep, same here 😉

That's why I was hoping for a statement from HP. 
It seems like they fixed quite a number of security issues so if they want to prevent the next PR fiasco (IoT attacks) they should definitely do something to encourage their clients to consider updating again.

I haven't tried it yet, but it says:

This update is recommended for the HP Color LaserJet Pro M277 MFP series that have a firmware version older than the one posted.
