I’m getting 60.02 error code. There’s no jams that occur and if they pull the tray out and push it back in it works just fine for a little while I’ve changed rollers, replaced the cassette tray and lift motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi @Jk12310

The error code 60.02 on HP printers typically indicates a problem related to the paper tray or paper lift mechanism. Since you've already changed the rollers, replaced the cassette tray, and the lift motor, here are a few additional steps you might consider:

Additional Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Check Paper Tray Settings:

    • Ensure that the paper tray is properly configured for the correct paper size and type both in the printer settings and on the printer's control panel.
  2. Inspect the Paper Path:

    • Double-check the entire paper path for any obstructions or debris that might not be immediately visible. Even small debris can cause issues.
  3. Update Printer Firmware:

    • Sometimes firmware updates can fix known bugs and issues. Visit the HP Support website to check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer model.
  4. Examine the Tray Sensors:

    • Inspect any sensors associated with the tray and lift mechanism. A misaligned or faulty sensor could cause the printer to wrongly detect a jam.
  5. Assess the Tray and Lift Assembly:

    • Ensure that the tray is not warped or damaged. Even slight deviations can lead to improper seating or alignment.
    • Double-check the installation of the lift motor to ensure it is correctly secured and all connections are solid.
  6. Printer Maintenance Mode:

    • If accessible, use the printer's maintenance mode to test the lift mechanism specifically, watching for any irregularities in operation.
