Dear support,

My prints are terribly faded.

I see the following errors in the printers event log :

10	54.1102	2047	Magenta Density Range Error
9	54.1400	2034	Color plane registration sensor error
8	54.1103	2034	Yellow Density Range Error
7	54.1400	1987	Color plane registration sensor error
6	54.1102	1987	Magenta Density Range Error
5	54.1400	1939	Color plane registration sensor error
4	54.1102	1939	Magenta Density Range Error
3	54.1400	1868	Color plane registration sensor error
2	54.1102	1868	Magenta Density Range Error
1	54.1400	1863	Color plane registration sensor error

I am using geniuine printer toner cartridges and have tried replacing with the ones that came with the printer as well.

The issue persists.

I have tried calibration, cleaning etc. several times but to no avail.

The issue is same weather printing from Windows, Linux, the demo page from the printer itself or using the xerox function. Black prints are fine.

Could you please suggest what else I can try ?

Product warranty seems expired.

Hi I would like to assist to the best of my ability to solve your problem.I hope the information i supply will be of help.

I will try and explain what to clean. If you open the rear door and look at the ITB belt.Looking onto that belt is sensors that looks like 2 tiny eyes. These look at the density of the prints clean these with a soft cloth and then try.Should the quality make a difference do the full calibration and that should solve the problem.Hope this will help.

Hello Copier-Pro !

Many thanks for your reply.

I opened the rear door and could see the ITB belt but couldnt locate the sensors.

By openening, did you please just pull it open or should I unscrew and get in further ?

Many thanks again for your very helpfull message.

I looked into the manual and you might have to remove the ITB belt.Just be carefull not to damage this part as a mark on this belt will remain for ever on your prints. If you don't feel comfortable with this please consult a service centre to assist you.Once the sensors are cleaned and you do the calibration the machine should be good for new.

I see. I am comfortable digging deeper in printer.

Trying to find images/videos on how to remove the belt.

Do you happen to have any links showing which screws/levers to go for ?
