We're trying to get this printer connected to the WiFi network. Our WiFi router doesn't have a WPS button. I can't find any option in the 2-line control panel to do manual WiFi setup (choose SSID, enter password).  The only option I see in the menus on the printer is WPS. Is there a way to set this up using a temporary USB connection to the Mac?

Sure,

Ensure the printer is ready, plug a USB cable to your Mac, then download and follow your printer installation below by selecting a wireless connection:

Thanks, that worked. Much time would have been saved if HP setup sheet had simply said, "If your wireless router doesn't have a WPS button, you must use the USB connection to set up the wireless connection on your printer."
