Feed on scanner, pulls halfway in, loses traction,  and then SHEET FEEDER JAM indicated. Different types of paper attempted. No prior scans . New out of box Office Depot.

Any suggestions?

Any chance you removed clear strip film from the smaller scanner glass by mistake while setting printer for first time use?

If you open a top cover to access a flatbed scanner on the left side is a smaller ADF glass it should have a clear film on it. I have seen when users by mistake removed that film and get the feeder jam on a new device.

Now at home to look at computer. There is a similar monochrome at work.

No, I didn't take off the clear plastic.

I did not take off the packing foam either!

I assume this will fix my problem.

Thank you for replying from so far away.
