Hi @Varun63

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern you’ve raised. The fact that prints from your desktop come out correctly but prints from your Android phone appear reduced to a quarter page with black lines indicates that the printer hardware is functioning well, and the issue is specific to the mobile print setup. Let’s go step by step to get this sorted:

Confirm HP App Usage
Ensure you are printing through the HP App (this has replaced HP Smart). Printing directly from other apps may not format the page correctly.

Check Paper Size Settings in HP App

  • Open the HP App on your Android phone.
  • Select the photo or PDF you want to print.
  • Tap Print Settings.
  • Verify that the paper size matches the tray (for example, A4 or 4x6 depending on what you’ve loaded).
  • Make sure “Fit to Page” or “Fill Page” is selected to avoid reduced-size prints.

Update the HP App and Printer Firmware

  • Update the HP App from the Google Play Store.
  • Access the HP App → Printer Settings → Advanced → Firmware Update, and install if available.

Run Diagnose & Fix in HP App

  • Open the HP App.
  • Go to Printer SettingsAdvanced Settings.
  • Select Diagnose & Fix.
  • Follow the guided steps to automatically correct configuration issues.

Clear Print Service Plugin Conflicts

  • On your Android phone, go to SettingsApps.
  • Locate HP Print Service Plugin.
  • Clear cache and data, then retry printing through the HP App.

This structured approach should align the mobile print output with what you see from your desktop.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
