Hi @Anandgos

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for explaining the issue so clearly. I’m truly sorry it’s been frustrating—especially when your HP Laser 303dw prints duplex from mobile but the back side comes out upside down. This behavior typically stems from mobile app settings or driver defaults that control page orientation during duplex printing.

Let’s walk through a focused recovery path to help restore proper double-sided output.

Step-by-Step Fix for Upside-Down Duplex Printing from Mobile

1. Check Duplex Orientation in HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app on your mobile device.
  • Select your printer → Tap Print Documents or Print Photos.
  • Before printing, tap the Settings icon (gear or sliders).
  • Look for Two-Sided Printing or Duplex.
  • Set Binding to Long Edge (Portrait) or Flip on Long Edge.
    • Avoid Short Edge Binding, which causes upside-down output.

2. Use PDF Viewer with Custom Print Settings

If printing from a PDF:

  • Open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Edge on mobile.
  • Tap Print → Select your HP Laser 303dw.
  • Tap More Options → Set Duplex to Long Edge Binding.
  • Confirm preview shows correct orientation before printing.

3. Update HP Smart App and Printer Firmware

Outdated software can misapply duplex logic.

  • Visit the HP Laser 303dw Driver Page
  • Download and install the latest firmware update.
  • Update the HP Smart app from the App Store or Google Play.

4. Test from PC to Compare

  • Print the same document from your Windows 11 PC.
  • Use Control Panel → Devices and Printers → HP Laser 303dw → Printing Preferences.
  • Set Duplex Printing to Flip on Long Edge.
  • If PC prints correctly, the issue is isolated to mobile settings.

Once these steps are complete, your mobile duplex prints should align correctly. If the issue persists, let me know which app or file type you’re printing from—I’ll guide you further based on that.

You're close to restoring smooth, double-sided output.
