This printer wasn't a problem for the first 6 months of owning it, however the past 2 months it's been pretty worthless.
1) When attempting to print a document, the program (Word, Excel, Pages, Preview {.pdf, .jpg, etc.}) sends the document for printing. The printing status window appears and I watch the document in the status window "finish printing". This is not the case with the printer as it starts to sound like it's moving paper but then suddenly stops. There is no indication of a paper jam and paper/ink is full. This happens with the printer connected wirelessly or via usb cable. When checking if the printer is loaded to the computer, it shows that it is and that it is idle. It remains in that state even as I attempt to print and the printer makes its balk at printing. It usually takes me removing that printer from being loaded and reloading the printer. I might get a couple prints out before (even mid job) it forgets that it's a printer and wants to go back to being and over priced paper weight.
2) Next work around is to attempt to print said document from my phone using HP ePrint. Same thing, this usually works for a few prints and then it doesn't want to cooperate. I then power down the printer, remove the power cable, wait 60+ seconds, plug it back in, wait for the life to return to my printer as it boots up. This is tiresome and shouldn't be the constant fix as this now takes up more time than it does to even print my documents out.
3) I have reloaded the drivers of the printer to the computer and this time it prints a document but at a rate of 1 page, single sided every 20 seconds, then pauses for 10-15, then prints the second page (taking 20 seconds, then break time before repeating for page 3). This is not how it was acting when purchased and is not the specs that HP claims this printer can do.
4) After reloading everything again, the printer prints as normal for a short time, even killing the printing mid job to perform the issues above. It then begins printing multi-page documents out by only printing the first page. I can select print page 4-10 and only get page 4. All attempts to reload the printer (I believe my computer now thinks I have loaded and deleted 26 printers) result in it either printing only the first page (both from the computer and now from ePrint), to maybe printing a few pages before quiting mid job (are HP printer on a union contract that I forgot to pay dues for?).
As a small business owner and my wife being a teacher, this is extremely frustrating. We are having to spend more time away from our family and our livelyhoods because of having to work the issues of this printer. I expected so much more from a company that I have relied on for years.

I did not understand the question regarding the Union contract - The answer, if I understand your intent, is "No, eprint is not a fee based service."
I realize you did not ask for community help - nonetheless, if you would do so, I encourage you to contact HP Technical Support.
Open a case, briefly describe the type of issue(s) you are having, ask for help.
