I recently got a new BT Smart hub 6 and had great problems finding my printer, eventually had to uninstall and then reinstall everything worked for two or three days then the printer reported Off line after a time it changed to user intervention I next used HP Print and Scan Doctor this advised it was a software issue and recommended uninstall and reinstall this worked two days later same problem.
when I check the wireless I’d on the printer it reports the old name used by the lasted router how can I change it so that it shows the new hub name. I am not very technical and need every step explained in detail.
Thanks
David

Once locating the IP address open any web browser on your PC (such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer), type the IP address and press enter to browse the printer's page.

Hi David,
I suggest resetting the network settings and reconfiguring the printer:
Tap the Setup button and select Network, from there select Restore Network Defaults and confirm to remove any currently existing settings.
Next select Start > All Apps > HP > Your priner folder > Wireless Configuration and follow the steps on screen to reconnect the printer, then check if you may see any difference.
As well once the printer is connected print a Configuration Report (Setup > Reports > Config Report) and locate the printer's IP address.
Browse that IP address and select the Networking tab, then select the Wireless option.
How is the WiFi quality signal bar? does it show a good quality level? (4-5 lines)
If not how far is the printer away from your router? ensure it is not too far and therefore with a low quality, as well ensure it is not closer than 2 meters away which may cause wireless connection drops..
