Probably, but tracing paper is really, really lite weight (if I am thinking of the same thing you are). Probably equal to 12 pound. Moving it through on standard pressure rollers may be difficult but anything is possible. My biggest worry would be oversaturation of ink on that thin of a paper.
For that question, I suggest you contact an HP Product Specialist within that division. Those folks know the DJ series inside and out and know how to modify a unit to do about anything you need it to do. I'm sure if you needed a DJ that could play a piano, they could make one for you.
I know in our print center about 7 years we had the DesignJet 100+ that did very thin blue-print paper we called "Onion Skin" very well, but that was a completely different device than what I specialize in. The guys there used it for a 24 x 36 print.
The DesignJet team of experts is at 888.772.9897.
Good luck! I am sure you will make out fine.

You will not find an HP LAserJet that does 16.5 X 23.4 inch paper. (Essentially, an 18X24)
You may be able to get an ink machine (DesignJet) from HP.
I have seen other brands like Xerox, but this is going to be very, very expensive. You can check Alibaba.com for info.
