Hi All 

I have a LaserJet Pro MFP MA428FDW I cannot scanner anything due to the error message communication failure. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Power Drain:

  • Turn off your printer using the power button.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer and wait for a minute.
  • Reconnect the power cable and turn on the printer.

Check Network Connectivity:

  • Ensure that the printer is connected properly to the network.

Verify the network settings on the control panel to ensure correct wireless or wired setup.

Update the Printer Firmware:

  • Visit HP’s official support site to find the latest firmware updates for your specific printer model.
  • Download and install the update by following the instructions provided on the site.

Check for Driver Updates:

  • On your computer, check for updates to your scanner drivers via HP's support page.
  • Download and install the latest scanner driver updates.

Reboot Your Networking Devices:

  • Restart your router and any related networking devices to ensure connectivity isn’t disrupted.

Check Firewall and Security Settings:

  • Ensure that the computer’s firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the printer’s communication.

Print a Network Configuration Report:
